Elections BC collects personal information through this website for the purpose of voter registration and it may also be used to create jury selection lists. The Election Act permits disclosure of some voter information to registered political parties, registered constituency associations, Members of the Legislative Assembly, candidates in an election, recall proponents, Elections Canada and municipal election officials.

Protection of personal information is extremely important to Elections BC. To ensure voter registration information is kept confidential you will not be able to view any voter registration records when accessing this site. If you wish to view your voter registration record or request that your information be suppressed from the voters list, you may do so as follows:

The Election Act prohibits the use of voter information for any unauthorized purpose and anyone who does so is guilty of an offence and is liable to a fine of up to $20,000, or imprisonment for up to two years, or both.
